This year has been a year full of shaken faith, patience tested, and situations that will make us stronger. Situations where we may feel like we’re at our breaking point, where we feel like we don’t have the strength, and where we have to make a choice to either rely on God’s strength or try and get through by ourselves.

God has a plan in all of this though, He will use the hard times for good. Just keep fighting, let these times make you stronger, and remember it’s okay to not be okay. When you get to a point that you realize you can’t do it on your own, it’s okay to ask for help – it’s good to ask for help. We’re made to live in community and you’ll definitely need a close group of people you trust to help support you through a difficult time. Just remember to let God use those that He puts in your path, don’t resist. It’s not easy to remember that God is using it all to get you to where He wants you, although once you lean into community and lean on His strength, you’ll slowly start to heal. Trust me, I’m writing this as much to myself right now as I am to whoever is going to read this.

One day you’ll wake up and see that all the hard days prepared you for where you’re at now. That day may still be in the middle of hard days and that’s perfectly okay. God is using every second to prepare you for another second. Again though, make sure to surround yourself in community and spend time in the Word and worship. Watch for the many blessings God gives you, including people making an appearance in your life when you least expect them to, financial blessings, or maybe even an extra 5 minutes of sleep. Whatever it is, it’ll help you focus your attention on the positive things God is doing and help you move closer to the other side of the valley. You are brave, you are strong, and you will get through. πŸ’œ
